This book is honestly so big and heavy I thought it'd surely take me a year to read, but maybe not, it's actually very good so far. Depends on the author of each essay, of course, but then these are names such as Barry Lopez, Nancy Lord, Margaret Murie, Farley Mowat, Seth Kantner, Nick Jans, Peter Matthiessen, Karsten Heuer, George Schaller... so I'm not worried about the quality. Also, the photos are great.
