My hopes were high for this book but it's not working. The format of this novel is a journalist interviewing people. There are too many perspectives. I don't get to know or care about any of the characters. This might be a good book for people who don't care about character development and just want plot. But it's not working for me. Luke Daniels' narration is amazing, of course.

Unless it takes a major upturn, I'll probably give it three stars. Only Luke's narration makes it worth three stars. Without it, I'd probably give it two.

I understand, I do the same unless I write a list of trigger warnings or the like for others. Occasionally I'll write a small summary of my thoughts.
Is Luke a popular narrator?
Hope you're next one goes better *hugs *

Yeah Luke Daniels is my favorite narrator. I met him once at a book conference in Charlottesville. He's the guy who narrated 600 Hours of Edward. His range is incredible. He seems to have an infinite number of character voices at his disposal.
I think my next book will be better. I'm going to listen to Replay by Ken Grimwood. He wrote a book similar to Shawn Inmon's Middle Falls Series books (but before Shawn Inmon wrote his).

That's neat you got to meet him:) when was that?
Does he go to book conferences often?
Nice, happy reading 📚!
Might have been 2015 or 2016 that I met him. I'm not sure how often he goes to conferences. He was invited to sit on a panel of romance book narrators at that particular conference.
