Notes:
(1) Remember O magazine? The gimmick was Oprah that was on the cover of every issue. I wonder if Keanu Reeves has the same sort of deal. This 5-issue series has over 40 different covers, and all are just portraits of Keanu.
- I understand he's the title character, but not even Batman's on the cover of every Batman.
- These are all deliberate likenesses.

Issue #4
(1) You know, when they do the inevitable Netflix version, either they're going to have to cast a young Keanu, or else really lean into deepfake technology.
- His character spends nearly the whole book in only a skirt.
(2) Speaking of which, his skirt looks strikingly like a jacket tied around his waist.
- How very Bill and Ted... wonder if it's intentional?

Issue #3:
(1) It was hard to choose art from this issue to show. Nearly the entire thing was burst skulls and beating people to death with torn limbs.
- Far too graphic to post on my feed.
(2) At this point, the bloodbath gimmick's already been done to death. This series is quickly revealing itself to be a one-trick pony. Each issue is a pinch of story and a pound of gore.

Issue #2:
(1) I don't really know how seriously to take such a comedically large stone axe.
(2) Impregnation via lightning bolt seems a better idea on paper.
- In silhouette, if I hadn't known it was lightning going in, I'd have assumed stuff was coming out.
(3) Apparently, 80,000 years ago, stone-age people played a form of rock hockey.
- We get it, Keanu, you're Canadian.

Issue #1:
(1) Right off the bat, this feels like the opening scene to a film.
- From the calm, clinical voiceover juxtaposed with mindless death and destruction, to the non-specific banana republic they're fighting through.
(2) I'll admit, I'm decently enthused about the start of this. Brain-splattering action isn't really my cup of tea, so I wonder why I'm not hating this.

Frankly, the only reason anyone cares about this book is because Keanu's involved, and so putting this movie star front and center on the covers as if it's a movie poster is smart, same as if they were promoting a movie. How it gets out of hand is that all these individual stores want their own exclusive Keanu cover, which is how it got ridiculous. 😅
😂typical! Although I do love to see exclusive covers if they’re cool. Also I can’t believe you got to this one before me! I keep getting distracted reading other things instead. So much to read, so little time! Anyway, looking forward to seeing your review soon dude👏🏻

Thanks! Yeah, more than anything I'm a mood-reader, and so I'm easily distracted as well, or at least follow along the path of least resistance. Review should come later today or tomorrow, once I find the time sit down and hammer it out :)
