Starting to see this group of boys on the island as a mini "society." Golding (author) brings in every stereotype to suggest what society does to leaders (Jack? Ralph?) and brains (Piggy?). Although, there are no females there -- would that change how this "society" functions?

As these boys stay on the island longer, I'm noticing creepy personalities coming forward. Jack is obsessed with killing boar for food. The boy on the beach hints he knows there will be no repercussions for hurting a younger child. Freaky.
