Truth be told that last Halloween title was about as far as I can go on the Scare-o-Meter. Let's tone down the terror and go with something sillier.

So this middle section, Twenty-Some-Odd Scenes From the Winter, In No Particular Order, Certainly Not Chronological , does some interesting stuff with a mixed-up narrative, far more clever than anyone writing a low-hanging fruit type of parody like this has any business bothering with. Plus it reminds me of the Simpsons "22 Short Films About Springfield" episode which is a nice bonus.

The blurb on the book sounds like it might be frighteningly... generic for zombie fare. I love the title though!

My mom was a big Prairie Home Companion fan while I was growing up so this title is a hoot.
I do like reading one of these every few years. As it turns out, my library has both Lake Woebegotten books! Think I might just jump into the first one...
