Joel writes like he speaks in the youtube videos I've seen him in. Experienced people have a tendency to be dogmatic and so I'm not going to hold that against this book, especially since it seems his mindset has gotten him quite far in a local-food-web farming game that's heavily rigged against him. Most of what he says I either agree or sympathize with, though the 900sqft minimum house part seems factually dubious..
