Her master Madam sold her to a family to be a house keeper and she is mad because her sister is just a little girl and now she is all alone. She is also mad about that because she promised her dead mother that she would take care and protect her.

12)I think the author wrote this book to inform readers about a time in history and to inform readers of hoe some people where treated. I think this because the book is about a slave in the revolutionary war and she can't decide which sides she's on and she is also struggling with her sister sold to another family and her friend stuck in jail with a leg that is injured. She doesn't know what to do all the time and

11)- The story is told from the point of view Isabel. If it was told from anyone else's point of view it wouldn't make any sense because Isabel is mostly tacking care of her sister and protecting her from her master. She wants to make sure her sister a slave is safe she promessed her mother who is dead she would protect her. If it was told by anyone else nothing would add up.
