I feel nothing reading this book and I’m still not sure why. It’s a cute story, but a lot of her narrative seems anecdotal and banal. I’ve read a lot of memoirs - especially on running - and this one (so far) says “I’m not special. I’m writing a book to tell you how unspecial I am. But I am special b/c I know pain.” I.e., Self-deprecating while gifted in the grand scheme of things.
