So far, I have been introduced to the following characters. Nathan Ayers, a gifted but schizophrenic musician how lives on the streets of Los Angeles. As well as, Steve Lopez, an L.A. Times columnist who decides to tell Nathan's story. I have just learned that Nathan attended Juilliard, a prestigious music school. Looking forward to reading more.

Daniel has just received a multitude of instruments from his new-found fame from the newspaper column that Steve wrote about him. He also received an invite to attend a concert at Disney Hall. I am beginning to see a little bit more character development in both Steve and Nathan, which I really enjoy.
