Don't get me wrong, I love short chapters but the way some chapters end is so weird cause the next chapter starts right where the previous one left off. It's not like the previous one left on a cliffhanger or plot twist or anything interesting it just...ends???

Authors do this to try and build tension, especially in children's books. R.L Stine does this alot. It gets weird when you actually notice it
