Still getting a weird vibe from this installment of the Dresden Files. No spoilers, but Harry's received some fairly big news from out of the blue and I don't really feel like it's genuine. It's unnecessary and just feels like drama for drama's sake.

This installment of the Dresden Files continues to feel "off". It's scattered and lacks the strong narrative push of the others, and I don't feel the warmth of the characters as I have in prior books. But maybe it's just me...

This book (as I should have guessed from the title's deviation) is a lot different from the usual Dresden Files mystery. And maybe not in a good way? We'll see.
