Einstein expresses mankind as an arrogant race. "I have never met a race so arrogant that they can only view the faces of others, but not their own.(687)" As Einstein speaks of mankind, he states that we only judge other people oblivious of our own personal qualities. Humans tend to look at other faces before we look at our own face. Humans according to Einstein, should judge ourselves before we start judging others.

Einstein believes that all men are created equal but at the same time not always equal due to their specific characteristics."I have never met the society's better men who dines upon vast riches but does so in the dark.(778)" What Einstein means by this is that no one is born with incredible gifts but exhibits them in the dark, therefore a man who is gifted but very lazy is never in any case defined as a better man.

Einstein believes that the genius in many people is not born, but rather made. "Genius is the result of hard work a inquisitive mind. (753)" What Einstein means is that genius is measured by the amount of work they put in to nourish genius along with an inquisitive mind that they build on through work. If one is inquisitive, one will strive to learn, therefore rising from the crowd and becoming a genius in society.

Einstein states that no matter who you are, you should never lose your passion and curiosity for science."Instead of looking at science through the eyes of a scientist, mankind should look through the eyes of a child.(724)" What Einstein mean is that those who behaves like a scientist should behave like child because instead of looking at science through data, a child studies science purely for the sake of curiosity.

Einstein believes that the farther we look into the universe, the more we will understand, and the deeper we will look into god's mind."The most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible.(647)" Given this quote it is obvious that the universe is not only a void of emptiness, but the ability for mankind to accept a presence in emptiness is a metaphor for peering deeper into god's thoughts.

Einstein doesn't believe genius is standing on the shoulders of a giant." The higher I climbed, the more I see, but now lay a horizon before me without the slightest detail.(597)" Einstein as seen in the quote is most fascinated by the world in detail as opposed to landscape. He states that it's better to look at a object in detail than to look at large masses which blurs the very same details that it is composed of.

Einstein strongly believe that our lives are not fueled by ourselves, but by the problems we experience while living our lives. "All throughout my life I am only a single droplet in the river of the world. I cannot move myself, but I am moved along by waves. (568)" Long thought that waves are a destructive force, it is the waves in our lives that keep us going, and life without waves is like life without a purpose.

Einstein believes that no matter how productive one's life is, his work only leads to more unanswered problems in the future."Throughout my life I had climbed a hill, but only on my deathbed can I glimpse the splendor of a mountain humanity has yet to climb.(523)" Einstein implies that he led mankind up a hill with his life's work only to prepare us to climb a mountain laying ahead of us waiting to be explored .

Einstein believes the beauty of mathematics is in its simplicity, not its complexity."Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction.(456)" Given this quote it is very clear that true genius lies in the heart's desire for simplicity, to explain the world's wonder so it bears resemblance to ourselves.

Einstein believes in a very strong metaphor between grass and life. "I find that life is like a blade of grass, if you were to cut it, it will renew itself through regrowth. If you abandon it, it will die of old age.(414)" From this it symbolizes that Einstein believes that the cutting of grass represents a obstacle, and if one were to have no obstacle in his life, then his existence will have no meaning nor purpose.

Einstein believes in a universe where philosophy and the sciences are closely related."When I study the heavens, I do not study science, but philosophy, for science is the reflection of the soul. (368)" What Einstein means is that our morals are closely related with science. The universe is so vast and infinite, but can be contained with laws. Our soul seems infinite and can only be contained by our own moral values.
