messed up is a book about a boy name R.D his father is out of the picture so he is living with his grandmother and her boyfriend earl . one day his grandmother decides to leave and go be with another man. she leaves earl with R.D which made him pretty mad hes always getting into trouble he has a hard life but it gets even worse when earl dies and he leaves the body in the house and dosent call the police.
