not at all what I had expected when I finally sat down to read this after the better part of a decade on my currently reading list. It’s actually a philosophical and in particular ethical inquiry into the underlying assumptions of some broadly held tenets of how the market “works” (read “should work”, because people not distinguish the two is one of his main gripes.
