Jessica (bean) how is this book? Is it pretty DSM-5-y or more reader friendly?

Val It's reader friendly for sure! It's the least dsmV-y book I've read in the psych genre. It has lots of "case studies" where there's convos between a therapist and a patient with ADHD.

Val It was released just prior to the DSMV actually, that's why it's called ADD and not ADHD

Val In my opinion it's way for beginners, like people who know nothing at all about the illness. Not what I was looking for personally, but I can see the appeal of it. I'm probably gonna give it 4 or 5 stars

Jessica (bean) Cool! Thanks! My roommate got diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago so she’s really into researching it. But yeah that’s good to know that it’s more for people who have no idea what ADD and its subsets are.
