Didn't realize this was baseball ⚾ but it fits because Today folks, mark the day for the first Openly Out Gay Man in Baseball and I couldn't be more prouder and more in awe of Bryan Ruby.

Omg, how wonderful! There was also an active NFL player who came out a few months back. That's two in major sports! Oh how wonderful. I hope this makes it a little bit better for others and makes others feel like they can come out while they're playing. They of course don't have to, but if others have done it and ultimately been okay....well, yeah. It should have to be a big deal and hopefully we'll get closer to that the more players come out <3

The first was NFL and until recently, few months ago it was in NHL!!! I am do proud of these athletes and how they're creating and are inspiring queer children of this world and proving that they can do it too! The sport industry is still a Closeted industry and it breaks my heart to read characters who have to hide who they are. It is truly the pillar of these great men who will set the stone for others future. It sucks that they're gonna be called the 'gay' player or there's a lot of pressure on these players too. I hope one day athletes can live a world well diversed and safe for anyone whether straight or gay or lesbian or trans or ace or which spectrum they are on and whichever gender they want to be identified as.
