Not that into it. I can see how this would appeal to someone who loves Filipino food. I appreciate that this book centers Filipino food and culture. I didn’t find the writing particularly engaging and I found the protagonist dislikable. Also, seems improbable that this small midwestern town has such a large Filipino community.
