This summer, I read the book Guts and Glory The American Civil War by Ben Thompson. In the book throughout the Civil War, there were many battles and conflicts which ended with many casualties. Throughout the Civil War, there were 750,000 deaths 500,00 wounded, and 400,00 captured which left about 1.6 million causalities. After the war, Abram Lincoln passed laws which ended slavery and reunified the north and south.
