charlie was dared to kiss the prettiest girl in the room and he didn't kiss his girlfriend. His friends stopped talking to him and he feels alone and lost again. Patrick and his boyfriend, brad, get caught together. Brad ends up calling Patrick a faggot and he starts a fight with Brad. Charlie helps Patrick when he's being beaten. Patrick and Charlie start hanging out everyday so Patrick will feel better.

Charlie tried lsd at a party and had an awful trip. Charlie started smoking to help him focus when his world starts contorting itself back to the lsd trip. charlies been having a lot of trouble with finding himself. His girlfriend can only talk about her angst ridden hipster ideas

Charlie is having a hard time on his birthday because his aunt died when he was seven driving out to get him a birthday present. This book is really sad I really want to give this poor kid a hug. how can there be this much sadness in such a short book I have to put it down just to think sometimes.
