i haven’t had too much time to read but i’m really loving it! i’m relating to the cultural aspects like feeling different, an outsider. especially with being, not necessarily ‘embarrassed’ by cultural food, but having to take precautions because of it and seeing others appropriate your culture :/ i’m so happy this book exists! probably my new favourite book ever?

i haven’t even finished the first chapter and i’m already in love. as a brown lesbian, i just know that this book is going to be so important to me. i feel so seen and appreciated, and relate to everything that’s going on in the first 13 pages :’)
