Even though this novel has become more interesting as far as the actual storyline and the pace has quickened considerably in comparison to the initial chapters, I still find myself able to put the book down in a heartbeat, for the emotion and adventure aspects are not yet strong enough for what I expect out of a "good" book. At this point, they are continuing their efforts to prove Mrs. Lal has not stolen jewelry.

Since I have barely begun reading this novel, Tell Us We're Home I am not yet quite sure if I am fond of it or not; so far, I am only aware of the setting and the personal introductions of the main characters, three young immigrant girls who are all daughters of either maids or nannies. Most likely, there will be a strong focus on social class differentiation and the struggle to "fit in" as they attend school.
