I finished The Woolgatherer. The play is written in what appears to be a "natural" style, but Mastrosimone works poetry and symbolism throughout the play. Similiar to Shepard's dialouge, but this play is definitely not a dark vision of American life. As Cliff says, "Rosie, do you believe in life before death?" That's the arch of this story.
