I got halfway through this book and then forgot about it haha. I should pick this up again!!! I forgot about how evil Kane was.

He’s the fucking worst and yet somehow I’m here for it, hoping/wanting/holding out for him to redeem himself somehow. I think all the other RLSmith villains have been awful from a distance, but Kane is not dickin’ around, assaulting Raven and tearing out brain stems right and left.
The magic of her writing is that I really want him to not be awful. But it’s like she took the sadist guy from Cottonwood and decided to make him a romantic love interest.
Oooh I don't think I ever read COTTONWOOD either!
