Apologies to my real og goodreads fans that have been there since day one, I haven’t exactly stayed true to my daily reading schedule. Working five nights a week and getting home at 1 AM leaves no real room for reading but I put in some time tonight and am now hitting the sack at 5 AM👍
ps this book is a hundred years old and is falling apart, I may have to do some surgery. Great read so far

It’s gonna be a pretty heavy read, I’m taking it a couple chapters at a time. I’m not an incompetent reader, I’m simply pacing myself.
He goes into thorough detail describing the geography of the area and the peoples inhabiting it.

Great introduction, way to set the scene. I enjoyed looking at the maps of colonial Egypt and Arabia circa 1917.
