I had not expected to laugh out loud at this book, but I have. Four times in the last hour! The droll, ironic descriptions are so delightfully surprising.

Also -- there are "first world problems" and then there are "Swann's Way problems." 50 pages worrying about whether one will get a good night kiss from mama. Asparagus used as chemical warfare. The upper middle class has never been so petty nor so entertaining.
