I can't believe that there are only two chapters left for me to read. I don't think I'm prepared to leave the characters quite yet; I've grown quite fond of them, especially Pathka. Reading this novel has been such an incredible journey for me.

When Tess gave birth to Dozerious, it was a beautiful turned devastating moment, but the worst element was that Tess' mother's response. She said it was for the best that he only survived a couple of days, since they wouldn't have to hide a child as they had hidden her pregnancy.
