Seriously?!

What does "by degrees" mean? I've come across this quite a bit in this book and I don't get it. "By degrees, he poured out every detail." "By degrees, they parted." What is that?

Apparently I'M the one who's delusional! I never expected that response from Vikki. And I LOVE drama in books but too much can kill a good story. What else can happen within this small group of people? Charles, Toni, and Alan? Yeah, right!

Things have definitely taken a more soap opera turn. And I don't understand why so many people want to be like Regina. Everywhere she goes, it seems, some random person is saying how much he or she admires, respects, and wants to be like her . . . or be WITH her. I don't get why that is. The scenes with Lynn and the ones with Toni seemed too convenient and a bit far fetched. And Phillip is delusional.

Uh oh, the characters are getting into these preachy, self-righteous inner musings. I hope that won't continue. Aside from that, I am enjoying the story and I soooo appreciate that the grammar and punctuation is near perfect! It's refreshing.

That was SOOOO not your place, Parker! I can see this is gonna be an issue. He's already been told to fall back and yet he keeps doing it. Somebody might be getting kicked to the curb!

I like a lot of characters, especially when they all are interesting like they are in Say Yes. So far, so good.

I'm definitely very interested to see how things will develop with all the characters. I'm also curious as to whether Lynn is on the level or if there's some "trickerization" going on.
