The Book Thief is a wonderful novel. The aspect that i am enjoying the most is the relationships that the main character develops, the most heartwarming relationship would have to be the one she builds with her new father. Its astonishing to see how fast they develop a father daughter relationship that is so natural and real. I also cant seem to get over the fact that death is the narrator, it really works well!

The Book Thief has been a pleasure to read thus far. I am thoroughly enjoying the concept of having death serve as a narrator. It is a refreshing change to the books i have read in the past. I like the fact that Zusak has managed to portray the everyday life of Germans during the Holocaust when most other books portray the life of the Jewish. Its a different way to look at it without diminishing the significance.
