okay the story is starting to pick up now - i just wanna know what makes this book so devastating in the end !! as the author fleshes out Lily’s past it begins to move further from the wattpad tropes i think? i think portraying abuse in a romantic novel is inherently difficult and i’m curious to see if hoover will represent rather than romanticise it. i like atlas more than ryle. maybe i just love an underdog lol

i actually wanna keep my thoughts on here. So far I think it’s reading a bit cringe 😔 idk i think i’m not so keen on the main character so it’s having this odd domino effect. but also this book is veryyyy 2016 vibes.
