This book has me in need of reading The Shining again. I've seen the movie twice and associate the story mainly with that, but in actuality, it differentiated A LOT from Stephen King's source, which is why King hated the movie. A lot stands out in this sequel's setup, such as the fact that Jack Torrance is still alive. Luckily, it only confuses for the first few pages or so. Thank you, Stephen King.
