OMGsh... I don't know where to start. This is definatly a 5 star book. I would like to say that the heroine, Evelyn, is facinating, from the beginning to the end of the book she keeps you entranced and wanting more. I have read alot of books but never a YA that was sooo original. If you like the paranormal and YA books, then this is for you. Author Kiersten White really did an awesome job of drawing you into the story using fairies, mermaids and more. I hope that Ms White uses these characters and makes a series out of them.
This books would be a great read for any YA lover. You don't have to worry about there being any questionable activity, I would definatly let my daughters read this. There is mild girl/boy contact in the way of mild kissing that is done tactfully and shows that its not the main part of a friendship. I would highly recommend this for anyone who has children who love to read YA paranormals but don't want all the "smut" that sometimes comes with them.
