I really give this a 3.5. I was pleased enough to keep reading the entire trilogy, but I often found that the story didn't flow well enough for me. The storytelling was not seamless at all. Sometimes I had to work at finding where the author last left off and how I got to the situation in the next paragraph or page, I also thought the romantic connection between the protagonists was lacking in clarity.
