Overall, I found is a thoroughly enjoyable read, with some good insights into The Hobbit, or more accurately, Tolkien's worldview as it is reflected in The Hobbit. I hadn't planned on re-reading The Hobbit any time soon, but this book has changed my plans, and I'm sure I won't read it the same way again.
