wow. I finally got the DVD form the BBC series for my birthday. I had watched them in my youth. Alec guinees as Smiley is someone who stays in your head. Just whatching him is a pleasure in it self. Then I read the books (the whole series), which I remember I found a little boring. But now I'm reading them again, and what a writer Carré is. Great observations, great dialogue. Love it now. Interesting reread
