Amir goes on an adventure with Baba, he sees more terrible things but learns from Baba. Baba stands up for himself to some Russians instead of letting them control him. The book jumps forward back into time again, Baba and Amir are in America and they have finally gotten use to it

Contiue... Guy he ever met, never bragged or anything all the way from 8 to when he retired. Today in society you never find that and I think that is redicpulois. Everyone wants credit for this that and the other thing it's all complete crap. Most things are a team accomplishment, but the coach said his parents were the same way. I feel parents have a lot to do with how you act:)

The book hasn't got into any battle sences yet, but still continues to be really good. In the movie you don't get the back story to Marcus live. In this chapter he talks about once he graduated and officially becomes a Navy seal. Even after he becomes a Navy seal it dosent become any easier he continues to have to do vigorous work, holding canues over heads for long amounts of time. To be a navy seal it takes strengt

I really enjoy reading Lone Survivor, it really does a great job of being descriptive. This chapter was about Marcus leaving home to go into the Navy to get away from his home town. His home town was going to ethier get him in trouble or get him beat up. He talks about how hard boot camp is and how miserable it was. The last step to become a sailor is you have to go in a small area where tear gas is thrown, you have

I really enjoy the book, as the book continues you get to know Marcus (main character) personality. Marcus is extremely defensive of America and is really upset about 9/11. Marcus said if he could find Osoma Bin Laden he would put a bullett in his head without thinking, wether he would go to jail or not! I think that's awesome, so many civilians were killed. I don't know what drives you to do that to any country!

Continue: black flags so that Americans know not to enter the village. To me this dosent make sense, if I lived in a village where danger is real I would want Amercans there for safety.

Late.. As I keep reading I get more and more frustrated with Amir. I understand it's not easy to bring up the rape to Hassan, but he attempts to and the whimps out. He starts avoiding Hassan and not playin with him. He doesn't realize he's losing his best friend. Than he decides its best for him or Hasan to leave because of what Rhain Khan told him. He sets up Hassan and tells Alli, who confronts Hassan.

These chapters where much harder to read. Hassan is my favorite character. He chases down the kite and is caught by Assef and some other boys. They have Hassan pinned down and Amir sees them but does nothing. They pull down Hasan's pants are pulled down, Amir thinks about going to the rescue but doesn't. Hassan is raped, when Amir sees Hassan he acts like nothing happened. This really set me off and was tough to read

This book continues to intest me and show me more about diffrent cultures and places. In Kabul, kids get school off in winter due to icy conditions! This is the boys best time of the year! The highlight of the winter season is the kite-fighting tournament, very diffrent from what we do in America during winter. Baba takes Amir and Hassan to buy kites from the best man in town. Hassan is the best kite runner in city!

In chapter 5 te book starts to get dark! One night gun fire erupts in the street forcing Hassan and Amir to hide in the house until morning! I can't imagine hiding in a house while not knowing what was going to happen. Amir says that night was the beggining of the end of the Afghanistan they knew! Afghanistan got worse when communist took over in 1978 and than to make all things worse the Russians invade!
