Nice, these crossovers; there's more synergy between the Wars material I'm digesting than I hoped for. Learnt about the Zabrak just now; they are from Dathomir (like Jazz,"Aftermath"; and one of Luke's Y4 students, "Dark Apprentice"). Might want to read "Courtship of Leia" now, too?
I was aiming mostly for the Exar Kun connection (between "App" and "TotJ", the latter of which connects to its contemporary "KotOR").

For various reasons, this audiobook isn't steadily progressing. Some of this is not a problem; I've ample interest in & opportunity to be reading from paper. But maybe I've lost momentum in listening to books, too. I'll have to look into that... maybe. (So many paper books to read, anyway.) Also, this production suffers perhaps from too many unknown names/terms for my benefit. And from the lack of the graphics?

Learning more about the Night Sisters of Dathomir. Interesting.

Having not read/listened to anything for a while, and suddenly starting up again, I find that of the many differences between audio & regular books -- both positive & negative -- the ease with which I can handle paper pages might appeal to me more. Far easier to hop around & re-tread paths. Conversely, in audio, it's too easy to create many bookmarks per book, to be able to look things back up. Takes too much time!

Good to hear more about the Rule-Of-2, Darth Bane (in his 'own words'), and especially his dark side apprentice Zannah -- whom I came to know as Rain, her innocent & youthful self, in Jedi vs. Sith; and to learn what eventually happened to her cousin (here brother?), Darovit. Poor guy.
Nice how this book weaves a thread across many Wars chapters I know.

Increasingly difficult to follow the narration, due to combo of unknown (fantasy) names of all the Sith lords & their spawn, and mispronunciations. Given Hugh's accent, he does seem to be a native speaker (or is able to closely mimick an American sound). I've started wondering, from the type of mistakes, if he perhaps suffers from dyslexia. This might be a form of practice that he's shared on his tube channel?

Enjoying more of this production, I also encounter more of its flaws. Not detracting from earlier positive updates about this fan endeavour, there are numerous slips of tongue & mispronunciations, which result in me missing quite some things.
As prologue to reading Exar Kun's Yavin saga, it's of perfect length & shape.
However, due to the above (plus absent art & notes), the original book remains on my "read" list!

This seems to be an amateur non-profit production. Hugh seems to be a non-native speaker (like I am) and he seems to read the material as he goes (no pre-reading) which results in some mispronunciations, mistakes and stuttering. However, he narrates with subtle enthusiasm and in a mildly engaging -- thus fitting -- manner. This makes up for occasional confusion due to aforementioned imperfections.

Listening to audio rendering by Hugh. Total 155'. Missing the illustrations, of course -- and perhaps the side notes. But at least Sith (and Jedi) history and philosophy are discussed.
