Mine is 3 season only. Connected to house for fans and heating cable. Winters are way too cold and cost would much higher than benefits.

I would be happy if I could keep my greenhouse just above freezing.

I did consider a greenhouse attached directly to the house. During the winter month humidity levels are too low, which makes us more vulnerable to sore throats and colds. Plus, not enough air exchange makes the indoor air unhealthy.

I visit some of the recommended websites. I especially liked the Greenhouse of the future site.

This chapter made me realize an error we made in the placement of the exhaust vent. The intake vents are well positioned.

Insulating part of the greenhouse would helpful.

One of my main concern is snow load. In the past few years we have seen roofs cave from the weight.

I now have an app to track the sun. This is not just for the greenhouse but also to confirm my gardener’s instinct to where to situate perennials, trees and shrubs.
