I love the concept of a Romeo and Juliette retelling set in 1920s Shanghai with rival gangs and possible supernatural aspects, and unlike the portrayal of Juliette being pulled between her different identities. However I’m about half way done and it’s very slow and not exactly what I expected. It took me a long time to get into it and now have to return to the library, but hopefully I’ll be able to finish it
