Greg goes to the skating rink and has 1 final attempt to get Hollie, he goes up to ask her to couple skate and falls on the ground. She calls him Fregley and he is mad the rest of the time there. After that Hollie writes that Greg is "ok i guess" then says nice things in Rowleys yearbook. At the end Greg and Rowley get a new neighbor and Greg thinks she is attractive and thinks about them at the pool in the summer.

Greg joined the soccer team and sat on the bench most of the season. He eventually got to play but he got scored on so his coach moved him to backup goalie. Greg got to go in as goalie because the starting goalie got hurt. Greg got scored on because he wasn't paying attention which blew his schools undefeated season. Greg's dad went to work and his co-workers were laughing at him because it was on the newspaper.

Greg went to a school dance because he wanted to talk to Hollie Hills ( his crush), once he saw her standing alone he tried to go over, than Fregley came out of nowhere and scared him which blew his chance with her. He finally got another chance with her when he went to church and saw her but he got a chocolate stain on his clothes so he didn't go up to her and instead covered it up with a jacket.

Greg went to gym and wanted snacks after class but his mom put fruit in there and said shes wasn't going to get him snacks from the store. Greg then dug up his and rowleys time capsule and took the money inside and he went to go get a drink and snacks from the gas station. His grandma came over after Greg got his report card and he went with her to bingo so his mom wouldnt tell her about his grades.

Greg and his family make new years resolutions and his dads was to go on a diet. Gregs dad is grumpier and doesn't let him sleep in anymore. Gregs bus got moved and he doesn't like it. Greg finally gets a ride from his mom to school but is embarrassed because his crush is on the class. He took his moms robe but he thinks his dad is jealous because he took it when Greg wasn't paying attention and wasnt at their house.
