The bodily liquid of the klaxosaur is basically sea water so as Goro was punched inside of it, the water will not harm him or his suit when swimming to Delphinium. Every Franxx has an escape door incase of an emergency and Goro is going to use that to get inside Delphinium. Ichigo plans on suiciding to kill the klaxosaur but Goro arrives in time to stop her.Goro references something she taught him when they were kids

Continuing: This solo mode for the franxx is called Stampede mode. This mode is not ever recommended to any pilots not even the Nines. Zero two has used stampede mode more than anyone ever has, and ever will. It’s a mystery how she does it and withstands Stampede mode for battles and such long periods of time. Ichigo goes into stampede mode and immediately feels what zero two endures. Goro stops by entering delphi

Chapter 35: Goro is inside the klaxosaur and almost close enough to get inside delphinium and help Ichigo. Normally the franxx cannot be controlled unless there’s two, 1 male and 1 female pilot both minds in sync controlling the franxx to operate it. The reason for this is because yes, technically you can control a franxx with 1 pilot, but it’s too much stress and pain for 1 solo pilot.

Chapter 34: Ichigo is stuck in the klaxosaurs core and Hachi, squad 13 commander does not plan to save Delphinium or code 015. But the squad insists and Goro wants to take even the little chance that he may die to save her. It’s his partner after all. Meanwhile Ichigo wants Hiro to save her but 02 doesn’t want him risking dying and then she has no partner. Goro is going to try and save Ichigo with squad 13s help

Turns out delphinium isn’t gone and Ichigo isn’t dead, 02 finds where delphinium is located inside the klaxosaur. It didn’t self destruct it was an explosion to draw away the squad. Goro has been trying to make Ichigo happy since they were children but she only cares most about Hiro. Goro is relieved that she isn’t dead.

Continuing: Ichigo emergency ejects Goro to save atleast one of them. Then the klaxosaur self destructs and connection between Delphinium and Code 015 is lost. Delphinium is the leader Franxx of squad 13, Ichigos Franxx. Code 015 is Ichigo.

Chapter 32: Understanding of the Franxx is made a bit more clear. Instability between the male and female pilots can cause immobility of the Franxx. Squad 13 eliminates a klaxosaur that knows the molecular structure of a Franxx but wasn’t a harm or threat. But then another klaxosaur appears behind a cloud and attempts to snatch Strelizia but Delphinium pushes them out and gets grabbed instead. Ichigo ejects Goro

Hiro and Ichigo are in a love triangle, 02 is Hiro’s partner and Hiro wants to be with her, But Ichigo wants to be with Hiro and her Partner is Goro, Goro wants to be with Ichigo but she wants Hiro.

Chapter 30: it’s now Hiro’s job to complete 02’s mission and end the war with the klaxosaurs. APE realizes that Hiro isn’t ordinary and that he’s different from every other partner 02 has had. He’s the only one to ever ride 3 times with 02 and live. The final mission is called taking over the gran crevasse. Hiro is to escort 02 to their objective. Chapter 30: Ichigo has caught feelings for Hiro, she’s jealous of 02. Goro, ichigo’s partner is in a love triangle. Hiro doesn’t remember somethings Ichigo talks about him teaching her when they were little. Hiro and 02 are officially made partners by the superior government called APE.
