This was just okay. Honestly, it read like one of the Harlequin romances I gobbled up as a kid. The story was typical where the guy uses the girl to further his needs for a development deal that will tear her tiny mountain community to shreds. But, the man falls for her, almost immediately, and decides it's okay to pursue her. Alas, his lies tumble out and she's hurt and feels betrayed. Love prevails, of course, HEA.

Fabulous cover! It should be worth 1 star...lol. As for the book, it reads a bit Hallmark, light and frothy.
