She could do whatever the hell she feels like doing. It's her notebook. If she wants to write down the name of the author of the books she reads then that's her business! You have no right to say otherwise, Shimamura! -_-"

That was the end. I understand now what people meant about the ending being confusing. It's not something that you can just read and forget about. You need to think about it long and hard in order to understand it. And even then, the reader is not meant to fully understand or know what happened in the end. I am curious to know what the book club thought about it. We shall see~

That Milky Way description was so beautiful. It took my breath away. Say what you want about the story and the characters, but Kawabata surely knows how to create a lovely image in your head about the scenery and the essence of Japan.

Dude, how about going home to see your wife and kids? Not find another place you can "hang out" at because you are tired of being with Komako!

Oh, yeah, there's nothing you can do for Komako because you're trying to hook up with Yoko right now. Asswipe. -_-"

Only women can truly love? Really? What kind of bullshit is that? Men can love, too! Men are capable of love! Shimamura is just a douche so he doesn't want to put himself in a committed relationship! DX

One thing about this book that I am not too fond of is the way that Kawabata seems to go from one scene to the other without any indication of the change. It happens so abruptly sometimes that it takes you out of the reading experience. It's not a HUGE problem but it has happen a couple of times throughout the book already so I thought I should mention it as a reminder.

You don't have will power to leave the man because you're pathetic, Komako. And then she had the balls to say Kikuyu was a weakling. -_-"
