What where does your interest in this nuanced topic stem?

A general interest in the Reformation (in which Hungary played an under recognized role); some knowledge of various Hungarian Protestants who suffered under communism and a desire to better understand their back story; and I have a friend who is living there for a few months which has put Hungary on my mind.
