Still bugged by that continuity error--Alex being barefoot in a lab full of broken glass and not having any problems over it.

*sighs* Sorry Ms. Cooke, but you really should have done more research on how car engines work. Your lack of knowledge is showing to the detriment of the book.

So far I've found 4 continuity errors, though two are minor and probably went unnoticed by most readers. The editing leaves a lot to be desired in this book.

Some serious continuity errors and a really lackluster edit mar this book.

As noted in my last update regarding Alex.

In addition to that continuity gaff, I've found a few sentences and a couple of paragraphs that were so awkwardly worded it left me shaking my head. So far this is my least favorite of the Dragonfire books. Sadly, I doubt that feeling will change. I don't like Alex, she's a boneheaded idiot.

Hmm... Found a goof. Alex is barefoot and walking on broken glass at the lab, yet it doesn't hurt her feet apparently. The editor of this book should have caught that. I sure did.

Hmm... barefoot at the burned out lab with 'the sound of glass crunching under her feet.' All I can say is 'ouch' since she's barefoot.

Those little bits really do throw you out of a story sometimes.

Missy wrote: "Those little bits really do throw you out of a story sometimes."They sure do. This one could really have used a better edit. I found a sentence that really bugged me too, in addition to that continuity issue.
Still, it's not as bad as one of the Laura Hamilton books I read where her car had been wrecked forcing her to get a rental, then she had it back in the following chapter, then was back using the rental in the chapter after that. Talk about a major continuity issue, gah! That really bugged me.
