So far in the book Harry was a baby when he was accepted in by his aunt and uncle and their son. He stayed with them for 11 years until some wizard came to pick him up. The wizard explained everything to Harry. (that's as far as i got)

"The cupboard UNDER the stairs was full of them" This helped me understand where Harry slept/stayed.

I haven't gotten very far but so far the Dursley family has a nephew named Harry. They didn't like his parents very much because they were wizards. They assumed their son was also that way. Mr.Dursley was seeing strange people in cloaks talking about "you-know-who" coming back, a tabby cat acting strangely, and owls everywhere in broad daylight. When i stopped reading Mr.Dursley got back home.
