Thoughts so far: this is obviously an analogy for modern day things , which isn't bad, but I'm slightly disappointed bc I wanted something more escapist. Nevertheless, this is well written and the comparisons between Alice's world in the 1800s to today's cultural upheavals are effective. The depiction of Alice is perfect. And I hope there's more Mr. Katz soon! It's good so far
