I am currently learning many algorithms from this book, and I was surprised to see this book in Goodreads, because I can then use this book as my Goodreads posts. I have been reading the OLLs and PLLs section, and since this book was published in 2008, some of the algs were outdated, but I also found some that fitted me better than the more popular ones currently.

I have found the PLLs presented in this book very helpful, and I have been changing the algorithms that I use when cubing to the algorithms that are in this book. Even though they are slightly longer than the most popular algorithms, they are suitable for my finger tricks and flow better for me.

I read the f2l section of this book today, and I discovered many techniques that can help me improve my transition from f2l to oll. One example is the VHF2L technique, which I found very interesting, because it features algorithms that finish the last layer cross and the last f2l pair at the same time, and there are only 36 algorithms, so I probably wouldn't have to memorize all the other oll algorithms in CFOP.
