One way everyone judged Steph was judging him wrong. They though Steph was a good kid who loved his family and did good in school but when he was shot and killed his friends start to find out their friend wasn't so innocent.

"Jarrel why do you think selling drugs is going to help you and your family?" I asked
"At least its something, I'm not sitting here in bed all the time like you." he replied back with a attitude
I look down feeling like a wave of disappointment hit me.
'I'm sorry man, it just doesn't feel right without grandma here"
"Listen bro I know what I'm doing is wrong but I have to do something" Jarrel says

One text structure that is used in Name of Book is action. This text structure adds suspense to the book because we don't know what will happen next. Specifically, the author states, "Quadir looks at me, his eyes softening, and I swear I could melt right into them." which shows action.

I predict that in the end of my book The group of friends will find out who kills Steph but someone will get hurt in the process. I am making this prediction based off of how the kids are acting because their looking for who killed Steph but they aren't being sneaky and messing with bad people.

The exposition of my story is how a group of kids from the hood are attending their friend Steph funeral. Now that Steph is gone their trying to find a way live on his love for music and help their families make it out.

Jasmine is the little sister of steph *he passed away*. Since her brother dead she feels like she needs to be the glue to the family, she tries to make everything seem fine and stays strong for her mom. She thinks that if she doesnt step up her mom will break down.

In Let Me Hear a Rhyme the central idea is about a group of friends losing a friend that was apart of the group to death and is trying to survive the world by coming together as a family.
