Yea, with Haru becoming the “Dragon Rider” and getting 100 platinum coins was pretty neat. I like that he got to use the dwarven daggers and how they were able to penetrate the dragon scales. Yume staying back with the pirates for half-a-year was something I didn’t see coming, but I liked it. I did not like the author spoiling Volume 12 by saying at the end of Volume 11 that it was going to be “cheery”.

Things are kind of getting interesting now. With the Pirate Town in shambles, Haru made an even better deal with the desperate pirates in charge after finding the dragon egg. Apparently hey we’re going to get a bunch of gold in the end of completing their quest in getting the dragons to calm the duck down again. Also, it took them two days to get to the dragons’ nest! What happened to the town I that time?

A bit dull at the moment. They’re just trying to find the dragon egg or something and put a stop to the dragons attacking the Pirate Village everyday before sundown. Like, I already know that they are going to accomplish their mission just fine and this volume just seems like a side-quest. No one is going to die and the thing worth nothing is Huro’s new dwarven fire dagger. That’s about it?

This whole pirates and dragons thing is like a little side-quest for the gang. I am curious to know what the “Red Continent” is all about.

This whole Pirate thing is starting to remit me of “One Piece”

I was pretty sure that those were pirates from when Yume started describing the humanoids. Reminded me of World of Warcraft where I was rummaging around the jungle fighting pirates of every race. Perhaps the author got inspired by that part of WoW, since he did used to play it.

Setora is pretty cool, except she talks in a matter-of-fact kind of way and keeps people at a distance since she’s been hurt one too many times growing up in the Hidden Village. It’s pretty cool that they have her in the party now since she’s a good scout and is knowledgeable, sucks about her golem though.
Kazuko, despite being powerful and practically invincible is pretty humble and cares about others

I’m liking that they are finding treasures and useful gear now instead of having to fend for their lives in the previous volume. Pretty adventurous times in the cave. I’m still wondering what the deal with Merry is, this compilation of souls that resurrected her must have some kind of goal in mind, a way to make use of Merry for its own interests.
