okay i have some more spoiler free thoughts:
so my enjoyment level of this is still a 5/5, it’s super entertaining to read and has a really cool plot. however, my main issue is with how much he’s taking on in such a short page count:
we just got to the twist (kinda) and it’s actually an amazing idea but telling us with a very minimal back story and very fast pacing kinda sucks

i’ve made a list of some series i started as i teenager that i never finished, so this is the first one i’m rereading and having just as good a time as i did in 2021 (feels like yesterday😰)

okay i totally see why people do not enjoy this but so far this is has been very good
i have a few minor issues with how much world building is thrown at you in the first few chapters and it’s not explained to the best degree but overall it’s good
i also see why everyone hates brighton (and i agree) but adam silvera has written him to be unlikeable very well
